Our privacy policy
With our privacy policy, we would like to show you when we collect which personal data and how we use them, i.e. for what purposes and to what extent we process them. Of course, we have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by us and by external service providers.
Your personal data will always be treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
The data protection declaration applies to all processing of personal data carried out by us, both in the context of the provision of our services and on our website and within our social media profiles, hereinafter collectively referred to as „online offer“.
With this notice, we also comply with our information obligations under Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when collecting personal data. We collect this data under certain conditions when you access our online offer.
By the way, the legal basis for data protection can be found in:
- the GDPR,
- the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG),
- the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and
- the Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).
What is personal data anyway?
Personal data is any data that identifies a specific person or at least makes it identifiable.
Your full name and address determine your identity without any great detours („determine“), whereas your IP address or cell phone number can only be assigned to you via a specific location, such as the cell phone provider („determinable“). All of this is personal data. This data is only collected, used and passed on if this is permitted by law or if you as a user have consented to the collection or use of the data. Information that does not determine or make determinable the identity of a person is not personal data; this includes, for example, machine data. Incidentally, you can also use our online offer without disclosing your identity, e.g. by rejecting cookies that are not necessary.
How do we make our online offerings available?
In order to provide our online offer securely, quickly and efficiently, we use the services of a professional web hosting provider (ALL-INKL) (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Only data that actually arises in the course of use and communication is also processed. This regularly includes the IP address, which is necessary to deliver the content of online offers to browsers, and all entries made within our online offer or websites.
- More about the hoster we use: ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Inha-ber: René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany.
You can find more information about the privacy policy of ALL-INKL.COM here: https://all-inkl.com/datenschutzinformationen/.
To ensure data protection compliant processing, we have concluded an order processing contract with our hoster ALL-INKL.
The platform through which we design our online offer and have linked it with our web hosting provider is WordPress.com. This is a hosting platform for blogs. The service provider is Automattic Inc, 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA.
- You can find out more about Automattic’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/de/privacy/.
Why we use SSL encryption?
For security reasons, we use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure within our online offer – this is intended to protect confidential content that you transmit to us.
You can recognize such encrypted connections by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the closed lock symbol in the status bar of your browser.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. However, we expressly point out that data transmissions by e-mail are usually not encrypted.
What access data do we collect?
We ourselves or our web hosting provider ((ALL-INKL)) collect data on every access to the server. This means that every time a file is accessed (or at least attempted to be accessed) on this server, data about this process is stored in a log file, the so-called server log file, by default for security but also for statistical purposes.
These data regularly include
- the IP addresses and the requesting provider,
- the address and name of the retrieved web pages and files,
- Date and time of the server request,
- transferred data volumes,
- Message about successful retrieval,
- Browser type and version,
- the operating system used by the user(s)
- and the previously visited website.
The server log files are used for security, the provision of our online offer, user:ing friendliness and other administrative purposes.
The legal basis for the data collection is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f. GDPR and our legitimate interest for data collection follows exclusively from the purposes listed above. This also means that if the IP address is personal data that makes your identity determinable via a specific location, such as via the mobile phone provider, we expressly refrain from doing so.
What cookies do we use and why?
Cookies are text files that contain data from visited websites or domains and are stored by a browser on the user’s computer. Before we can store this data, however, we must obtain consent from you or our visitors to store certain cookies in their browsers and, of course, document this consent in accordance with data protection regulations.
What about links to third-party websites?
Our online offer contains links to external websites. However, these are outside our area of responsibility and we have no influence on whether these providers comply with the data protection provisions.
Which plug-ins, functional and content elements do we use?
We use various plug-ins, functional and content elements in our online offering that are obtained from the servers of the respective third-party providers. These can be, for example, graphics, animations, videos or social media buttons as well as individual posts. In order to integrate these elements on our website, they must process the IP addresses of our users. Otherwise, they cannot send the content to their browsers.

When and how is personal data transferred and disclosed to third parties?
Data that has been logged when accessing our website will only be transmitted to third parties if we are required to do so by law or court order, or if the transmission is necessary for legal or law enforcement purposes. We will not share this data for other (non-) commercial purposes! Finally, your personal data will only be passed on or transmitted to third parties if this is necessary for their services within our online offer. Of course, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
If you have provided us with personal data, we will only use it in accordance with European and German data protection regulations:

You will find all third-party providers listed below, within which we are represented. All of them are responsible for the data processing according to Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR.

How long do we store your data?
We store your data primarily for technical reasons, but also for legal reasons for varying periods of time. However, we only store it for as long as the respective purpose requires or we are contractually or legally obligated to do so. If you revoke previously given consent or if further permissions cease to apply, we will immediately delete the data processed by us, unless there are legal retention periods to the contrary.
By the way, all the data that primarily enables us to create logs, which includes, for example, your IP address, information about your browser or the web pages you have accessed, we delete at the latest after three months, unless a security-relevant event occurs that we first have to eliminate and clarify.
What contribution and publication media do we use?
We use so-called blogs and contributions or comparable means of online communication and publication. Your data will only be processed for the purpose of publishing, as far as it is necessary for the presentation, the communication between the author and you or for security reasons. In addition to our own website, we also offer our services on other online platforms. In this context, the data protection notices of the respective platforms also apply, in particular with regard to the methods used to measure reach and for marketing purposes.
Publication activities: We process the data of our contact partners, interview partners and other persons who are the subject of our publication, editorial, journalistic and related activities. In this context, we refer to the validity of protective provisions of freedom of expression and freedom of the press pursuant to Art. 85 GDPR in conjunction with the respective national laws. The processing serves the fulfillment of our commissioned activities and otherwise takes place in particular on the basis of the general public’s interest in information and media offerings.

We use so-called cloud services, also known as software services, for the following purposes:
- Backups,
- Document storage and management,
- Exchange of documents, content, and information with specific recipients or

How do we handle data from applicants?
If you send us an application, we will process your associated personal data to the extent necessary to decide on a collaboration or employment relationship. The legal basis for this is, among other things, § 26 BDSG or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Your personal data will of course only be passed on within our company to persons who are involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data submitted by you will be stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship or cooperation. If your application is not successful (rejection by you or by us), we nevertheless reserve the right to retain the data submitted by you for up to 6 months in order to be able to access them in the event of a legal dispute. Longer storage may also take place if you have consented accordingly or if legal storage obligations prevent deletion.
How do we analyze and optimize our online offering?
We use web analytics to analyze and evaluate our visitor traffic. This allows us to access demographic information and make statements about your behavior and interests. With the help of a reach analysis, we can also see at what time our online offer or its functions or content are most frequently used. These analyses help us to constantly adapt our online offer and optimize it for you.
For these purposes, so-called user profiles can be created and stored in a file. The stored information may include pages accessed and content used there as well as technical information such as the browser or computer system used. If you have also consented to the collection of your location data, this can also be processed. Your IP addresses are also stored. However, we pseudonymize these by shortening the IP address within the scope of a so-called
IP masking procedure. This serves your protection.
No personalized data is stored by the web and reach analysis, but only pseudonyms are used. Our service provider therefore does not know your actual identity, but can only access the information described above for the respective procedures.

The stored information may include websites accessed and content used there as well as technical information such as the browser or computer system used. If you have also consented to the collection of your location data, this may also be processed. Your IP addresses are also stored. However, we pseudonymize these by shortening the IP address as part of a so-called IP masking process . This serves your protection.
The information in the user profiles is usually stored in the cookies and may also be read, analyzed and supplemented with additional data on other websites that use the same online marketing method and ultimately stored on the server of the respective online marketing service provider. It may also happen that personal data can be assigned to you if you are a member of a social network that uses the same procedure for online marketing as we do and links you to the information mentioned in the previous paragraph.
In addition to advertising, we analyze the data available to us for the purpose of business evaluations, marketing and market research. These analyses are solely for our use and will not be passed on to third parties, unless they are anonymized by us, with summarized data.
The collected data will be stored until you request us to delete it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies or the storage period of 365 days set by us is exceeded.
